Introducing the Gorman-Rupp 6400 Series™
End Suction Centrifugal Pumps Designed for Efficiency and Reliability

The Gorman-Rupp 6400 Series™ is our latest line of cost-effective solids-handling end suction centrifugal pumps for flooded suction applications.

Engineered to handle a range of fluids from clean liquids to challenging solids-laden mixtures, the 6400 Series excels in wastewater treatment, mining, construction, and agriculture where suction lift and self-priming are not required. Built for exceptional performance and reliability, this series ensures durability and efficiency in the toughest conditions.

Why Choose the 6400 Series?

Solids Management
The 6400 Series offers a wide application versatility, matching the footprint and shaft alignment of the Super T Series®. This compatibility ensures interchangeability, making the 6400 Series a robust and efficient choice for flooded suction applications.

Ease of Maintenance
Designed for easy maintenance, the 6400 Series features accessible wearplates and seals for quick servicing. Standardized, interchangeable parts simplify repairs and reduce downtime, while readily available spare parts ensure efficient, cost-effective maintenance with minimal operational interruptions.

Durable Construction
Built from high-quality ductile iron, the 6400 Series ensures dependable, long-lasting performance in challenging environments. Its strong construction minimizes downtime and the need for frequent replacements, offering reliable operation and durability across a range of demanding applications.

Maximum Versatility
Incorporating the Super T Series rotating assemblies, the 6400 Series matches the footprint and shaft alignment of the Super T Series, ensuring seamless interchangeability with existing setups. This design not only simplifies upgrades and replacements but also enhances operational flexibility.

Standard & Vortex Models Available
The 6400 Series is available in both standard and vortex models, ensuring you have the right pump for your specific application needs:

Standard Models
The standard 6400 Series is designed to handle materials from clean liquids to large solids, delivering high efficiency and optimal performance for general industrial and municipal applications.

The standard version offers three impeller options:

  • Two-Vane Impeller: Semi-open design accommodates up to 3" diameter solids, with pump-out vanes to minimize material buildup and reduce pressure on seals and bearings.

  • Multivane Impeller and Slim-Line Impeller: Available in various hydraulics for achieving higher heads and greater efficiencies.

  • Continuous Single-Vane Impeller: Standard on Eradicator Plus models, specifically engineered for the most demanding heavy-duty applications.

Ideal for industrial plants, dirty water applications, and solids handling sludge pumping, the standard 6400 Series features durable ductile iron construction for the volutes and impellers, ensuring reliable, long-lasting performance.

Vortex Models

Engineered to handle challenging fluids with large, abrasive solids, the end suction vortex centrifugal version ensures smooth operation while minimizing wear and tear. Ideal for high-solids applications such as wastewater treatment, mining, construction, and agriculture, it provides reliable performance even in demanding environments. Vortex models can accommodate up to 4" diameter solids.

The vortex version offers two impeller options:

  • Straight-Vane Impeller: Designed for aggressive, abrasive applications, this impeller is effective at managing stringy, fibrous debris.

  • Winged-Vane Impeller: Optimized for higher discharge pressures, this impeller features a steeper performance curve that requires less horsepower.
